Microarray Users Scientific Interest Group
The NIH Microarray Users Interest Group (MUSIG) is a central source of information and networking contacts for researchers interested in microarray technology. The MUSIG seeks to support and encourage participation from members using any of the wide variety of arrays and array formats for gene expression profiling. The Microarray Users SIG hosts a monthly seminar pertaining to microarray research, and bimonthly journal club/discussion group sessions.
The MUSIG also sponsors the Microarray Multidisciplinary Research Team (MMRT). The MMRT is a volunteer effort by scientists throughout the NIH (and beyond) to provide a consolidated resource to researchers engaged in gene expression analysis. The MMRT seeks to foster the development of new methods and software aimed at fully utilizing the potential power of microarray technology. New members to the Microarray Users SIG and subscribers to the MUSIG-list are always welcome, and volunteers for the MMRT are greeted with great enthusiasm.
The group moderator is Katherine Peterson.
